Awaken, Enrich and Intensify the Buddha in YOU

 Yoga \ Meditation

Meditation is the like a ripple in the water cast from one small pebble.... Reaching out wide.

The mind is an amazing place.  We are capable of so many wondrous things if we are just able to slow the thoughts and sharpen this tool.  Being quiet enough, and still enough to listen to the heart, we will always know the right direction.

\  Allow me to guide you through cultivating this life long treasure of meditation...
\ Allow yourself the freedom and liberation to be guided on path of enlightenment....
\ Allow the mind to be quieted, sharpened and fine tuned
\ Allow the light to be cast in to the darkness...

Meditation has be proven to calm not only our own minds, but to calm those around us.  In 1994 Washington DC, the murder capitol of this country, reduced crime by 25% through a group meditation.

Imagine the ripple if everyone cast one pebble in the water?
Become the change that you wish to see

Practicing meditation has been a benefit in treating many illness and diseases.  People with heart disease have fewer palpations from the decreased heart and respiration rate. Meditation has been proven to reduce the effects of hypertension, chronic pain, insomnia, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, menopausal symptoms like hot flashes, PMS, depression and seizures.

On a physical level, meditation slows the release of hormones in response to stress.  There is an increase in DHEA-S, which comes from the adrenals, which generally lowers as we age.  There is a decrease in the blood lactate level, which indicates the body is reacting less to stressful situations.  Oxygen consumption is lowered to a level generally only seen after many hours of sleep.  There is less suppression of immunity in response to stress and an increase in T cells.  Meditation increases serotonin and tryptophan in the central nervous system, both of which are important for mood elevation
